Curry County Sheriff Deputy and OSP Trooper Save Victims of Fire

According to information released by the Oregon State Police Friday afternoon, just after 11:00pm, November 12th, Deputy Stout from Curry County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a structure fire in Brookings, Oregon. Curry County Sheriff’s Deputy Stout and Oregon State Police Trooper Erik Holland were first to arrive to a fully involved 2 story house.

With no additional information as the two Officers arrived on the scene regarding occupants, and unsure where the driveway was located as the house was up a hill, Curry County Sheriff’s Deputy Stout parked up the hill and Oregon State Police Trooper Holland parked down the hill. As Deputy Stout looked up the driveway, he observed an elderly lady scurrying down the driveway with her walker. He then looked for Trooper Holland. He spotted Trooper Holland carrying an elderly man who was disabled. The man appeared very disoriented as he was unable to walk and did not have proper clothing on.
