Pre-season for Lady Bruin soccer is well underway after taking 2 of 3 games at the Phoenix Jamboree at US Cellular Field in Medford late last week.

New Head Coach Kyla Siri’s Lady Bruins then faced off with the Lady Loggers who traveled to Brookings from Eureka Saturday. Both teams started off strong in this pre-season match-up testing each other’s skills.

As the game wore on, the Lady Loggers began to take control of the ball with good passing skills and spacing.

Again these pre-season match ups are meant to evaluate players skill sets while working teams into game shape, and as a result coaches are trying players at different positions while working on game plans.

The Lady Bruins focused on defense disrupting passing lanes and challenging the Lady Loggers with physical play on the ball.

The Lady Bruins will meet Illinois Valley at home in a pre-season game this Wednesday the August 26th before finishing their pre-season against Marshfield on September 5th.
