Three High-Speed Motorcycle Chases in Last Week

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office reports two more eluding attempts on motorcycles resulting in crashes of the suspect motorcycles.

36 year old Josh Glenn Hines

On Tuesday, June 2nd, Jackson County Sheriff’s Department investigated a case involving suspect Josh Glenn Hines of Shady Cove after he crashed on Highway 62 and eluded by swimming across the Rogue River.

He is still wanted on charges related to that case.

On Thursday, June 4th, another motorcycle eluded in the Prospect area at about 5:00pm, Jackson County Sheriff Deputies attempted to stop a red and white motorcycle on Highway 62, the motorcycle eluded at a high rate of speed. The operator turned into a dead end near Prospect and crashed in a parking lot.

36 year old Justin Carl Hunsley

The suspect abandoned the motorcycle, and then ran on foot into the woods wearing a black jacket and black helmet and his motorcycle was impounded.

Deputies identified the suspect as 36 year old Justin Carl Hunsley. His license is revoked and Hunsley is wanted on multiple charges including, Driving While Revoked, Eluding a Police Officer and Reckless Driving. Hunsley is also wanted on a warrant for Failure To Appear.

On Friday June 5th, just before 10:00am a Jackson County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a motorcycle in White City. The operator immediately fled at high speeds, ignored multiple stop signs, and proceeded to drive recklessly for several blocks before the operator crashed at the intersection of Falcon and Atlantic.

The operator was found to be wanted and to have a suspended drivers license. The warrant was a parole violation on an original charge of Felony Assault IV.

44 year old Damian Lee Snyder

The suspect was identified as 44 year old Damian Lee Snyder of Medford, Oregon. Snyder was transported to Rogue Regional Medical Center by Mercy. Snyder was cited and released on the warrant and on numerous traffic charges including Driving While Suspended, Eluding a Police Officer and Reckless Driving.

The motorcycle had switched plates on it and is believed to be the same one involved in previous eluding cases in the White City area in the last few weeks. Snyder’s motorcycle has been impounded.
