An important part of the Barron’s Star Student Athlete program is scholastic performance, showing leadership, leading by example, competitiveness, and work ethic both in the class room as well as in the community. Morgan has balanced her athletic participation carrying a 3.9 cumulative GPA carrying courses including College Calculus, French 2, College Literature and Composition, Band, and Choir.

“During games Morgan always comes to complete,” coach Carlson said. “she can really read the game and understands the angles to take to shut down opposing attackers.” Off the field Morgan volunteers through her church, participating in youth activities throughout the community. She is also part of the LINK crew at the high school helping under-classmen with in the school. She is a member of the school band and is also part of the Drama club and will play ‘Dorothy’ in the club’s interpretation of “The Wizard of Oz”.

Morgan told the Compass that she is looking to attend BYU in Utah taking courses in pursuit of a career in Wildlife Biology and Conservation. Morgan aspires to work directly with non-domestic animals/wildlife in either the field or a zoo setting, specifically mentioning Elephants.

“Morgan is one of these people who puts her all into whatever challenges she faces, applying the same determination that we see on the field in the classroom, as well as all of the many other activities she pursues”  –  head coach  Brian Carlson

Congratulations Morgan, we are confident that you will continue to be successful in any endeavor you should choose to pursue.

Special thanks to corporate sponsor Barron’s Home Furnishings, who make this recognition possible through out the year.
