Head coach Tony Baron and the Bruin girls softball team held what is likely their last homegame of the 2025 season Monday, hosting the Reedsport Lady Braves in a non-league contest.

The Bruin girls essentially put on a pitching and hitting clinic Monday afternoon, as coach Baron sent sophomore right-hander Emmy Armstrong to the circle for the Bruin girls, who came out in the first and struck out the side.

That was followed by the Bruin offense in the bottom half of the first, who put two runners on for senior Kami Koepnick who would smash a three run homerun in a four run first inning.

Armstrong continued to deal, striking out the next six Lady Brave batters, pitching a shut out going into the fifth inning on her way to a no-hitter.

The Bruin bats were relentless, putting up two more runs in the second, and four more runs in the third, on their way to thirteen runs, and a 13-1 blowout win in the non-league contest.

The Bruin girls will be on the road today, Tuesday, May 20th, traveling to Bandon to take on the Lady Tigers in another non-league contest, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30pm.
