Crescent City Police Arrest Man in Connection with Wednesday Evening Shooting

In a Thursday afternoon May 29th press release, the Crescent City Police Department updated information regarding Wednesday evenings shooting incident in the Safeway parking lot which sent one to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

According to the press release, the Crescent City Police Department has arrested 32 year old Joshua Roberts in connection with the ongoing investigation into Wednesday evenings shooting incident after officers gathered evidence that Roberts had picked up the two individuals they were looking for and drove them out of Crescent City.

Roberts, who was also on parole, was contacted by police on Malone Road in the Crescent City area and a search of his vehicle was completed.

During the search officers located an AR15 and Semi-automatic shotgun, along with several hundred rounds of ammunition.

Roberts is being held at the Del Norte County Jail and the Crescent City Police Department also has active arrest warrants for both Russell Walters Sr. and Russell Walters Jr. in connection with the original shooting incident.
