In a Tuesday, December 30th, press release from the Curry County Board of Commissioners, Board Chair Jay Trost, Vice Chair, Patrick Hollinger and Commissioner Lynn Coker announced a Town Hall Meeting at the Harbor Grange Hall, Friday evening, January 16th, at 6:00pm.

The Town Hall, inspired by community concerns regarding the impacts of illegal camping and hazardous waste that is left behind by transients as well as other concerns need to be addressed in a manner that prioritizes public safety and respect for our community.
– Do you have suggestions for services the County can offer to assist with these
issues?
– What impacts are you experiencing?
– What are ways the County could pursue services, programs, or partnerships
to address the issue?
– What public safety concerns would you like your Commissioners to
prioritize?
– How can your Commissioners best advocate for you?
– What areas do you see as being a particular concern (South of the bridge,
Shopping Center, South Bank Chetco River, etc.)?
– How can the County improve communication with residents of Harbor
regarding enforcement, services and resources?
Representatives from the Curry County Sheriff’s Office, Curry County District Attorney, Oregon Department of Transportation, and Oregon State Police have also been invited to attend as well.
