High Pressure to Keep Skies Clear and Temperatures Warm Through the Weekend

High pressure continues to spin off the coast pushing any weather systems around the Pacific Northwest with warm temperatures, although not as extreme, forecast to continue into the weekend under clear sunny afternoon skies.

Extreme Heat Watches throughout central southern Oregon and northern California have expired as of Wednesday evening according to the National Weather Service, however hot afternoon highs are expected to be close to triple digits. Afternoon highs are expected to reach the high 90’s with little relief as morning lows are forecast to be in the mid to upper 60’s.

Coast areas will continue to possibly see a morning marine layer along the immediate coast and localized areas of morning fog are possible under sunny afternoon skies to finish the work week. Temperatures are expected remain warm into the weekend with temperatures reaching the low 70’s in some areas with morning lows in the mid 50’s.
