Large Quake Hits Off the Bandon Coastline Thursday Evening

A large earthquake struck early Thursday evening followed by a significant aftershock that struck within miles of the original quake into Saturday evening.

At approximately 7:25pm, Thursday evening, a 6.0 magnitude quake rattled the Pacific Northwest approximately 183 miles off the Bandon coast.

The tremor was followed by a 3.1 aftershock 177 miles off the Bandon coastline approximately 3 hours after the initial 7.0 quake at 10:35pm.

No Tsunami’s were generated and no Tsunami warnings were issued regarding this quake.
