On Saturday, May 17th, Grants Pass Police Officers were dispatched to a reported disturbance at Ogle Park on NW Washington Boulevard at approximately 11:10pm.
The investigation revealed that 58 year old Baron Messier, had given two females money to purchase methamphetamine for him and became angry when neither the money nor the narcotics were delivered.
Messier then proceeded to Ogle Park armed with a machete, confronted the two females and demanded the return of the money.
During the confrontation, Messier was disarmed but punched one of the females in the eye and attempted to strike both females with a section of pipe.
Messier was arrested for Robbery in the first degree, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Menacing, and Assault in the fourth degree; and lodged at the Josephine County Jail.
