A 911 call received by the Del Norte County Sheriff’s Office on Monday, March 16th, requesting medical attention for a man who had been assaulted in the area of Maiden Lane in Crescent City.
After law enforcement and rescue personnel arrived on scene, life saving measures attempted, however, 41 year old Robert Cole, was declared deceased on scene.
Cole’s death has been determined to be a homicide involving several suspects. The investigation remains active and multiple search warrants have been served over the past few days.
