The Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team executed a search warrant Monday, June 23rd, on Dick George Road, in Cave Junction, regarding an illegal marijuana grow site.
With the assistance of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigation, United States Marshals Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Internal Revenue Service, the execution of the warrant, resulted in the seizure and destruction of more than 1,500 marijuana plants and 6 pounds of processed marijuana.
A firearm was seized during the search and the property was also found to have multiple electrical, water, and solid waste code violations that could result in the civil forfeiture of the property.
The primary suspects, who were not on scene during the time of the search, will be charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of Marijuana and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana when located.
The situation is ongoing and remains under investigation, no further details are being released.
