On Tuesday, August 26th, multiple agencies, including Charleston Fire and Rescue, the Coos Bay Fire Department, the North Bend Fire Department and the U.S. Coast Guard Station North Bend responded to reports of a an injured hiker who had fallen at the cliffs at North Cove.
Responding crews conducted a rope rescue from the cliff side, and provided medical care and assistance before the inured hiker was air lifted by the U.S. Coast Guard Station North Bend to Bay Area Hospital.
