Multiple Agencies Respond to Arizona Woman Injured in Fall on Secret Beach Trail

Early Sunday afternoon, March 15th, a 911 call was received by Curry County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch from 43 year old Glendale Arizona resident, Misty Osberg, reporting that she had fallen on the trail down to Secret Beach at about 1:41pm.

Multiple agencies, including two on duty Curry County Sheriff’s deputies, an Oregon State Trooper, Cal Ore Life Flight, and Brookings Fire Department along with the Curry County Search and Rescue team were dispatched to the Secret Beach location, about seventeen miles south of Gold Beach off U.S. Highway 101.

First responders located Osberg, who believed she had broken her ankle, about three quarters of the way down the Secret Beach trail, where a few bystanders were standing by with Osberg.

Medical units attended to Osberg’s injury before she was carried back to the parking lot where she was transported to Curry General Hospital.
