Early Friday morning, June 13th, a coordinated response from several agencies including Crescent City Fire, Redwood National and State Parks, Pelican Bay, CAL FIRE, and others after multiple trees caught fire within Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park.
To help bring the situation under control, CAL FIRE’s UAS drone was deployed to assist with aerial surveillance and support ground operations.
First responders quickly worked together to suppress the fires and protecting the park and bringing the situation under control.
The incident remains under investigation.
