After an extensive, months long investigation, a search warrant was served on Monday, March 9th, by Del Norte County Sheriff’s deputies at a Hodge Ave. address in Crescent City.
Deputies seized over 3.8 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, over 3 pounds of suspected fentanyl, three handguns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, and a large amount of cash during the search.

Crescent City resident, 48 year old Hector F. Perez, was arrested and booked into the Del Norte County Jail for charges related to the seizure of the illicit drugs as well as having children present.

According to the United States Drug Enforcement Administration, 1-2 milligrams of fentanyl can be a lethal dose, depending on one’s size and tolerance. The amount of fentanyl seized on Monday afternoon could have been roughly 700,000 lethal doses.
