Series of Seven Quakes Struck Off the Coast Friday

A series of seven quakes struck off the coast Friday, May 16th, with the earliest hitting a 7:30am, and the latest striking just before 11:00pm.  

The first three in the series struck first just after 7:30am Friday morning, measuring 3.0 in magnitude before two other 2.5 quakes struck at 9:36pm and 9:44pm approximately 60 miles southwest off the coast of Eureka.  

The next three quakes started at 10:06pm, measuring 3.0, with a 2.9 at 10:21pm and the final quake just minutes later measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale, again approximately 60 to 65 miles southwest off the coast of Eureka.

No Tsunami’s were generated and no Tsunami warnings were issued regarding any of these quakes.
