Crescent City Police Officers responded to an incident regarding a subject in a vehicle with a felony warrant at Harbor Freight Friday, November 14th.
The vehicle was located by Crescent City Police officers after the vehicle traveled southbound and a traffic stop was conducted in the parking lot of Grocery outlet.
K9 Sgt. Murtaugh was deployed during the investigation and alerted to the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle Officers located 15.7 ounces (net weight) of suspected methamphetamine.
The two occupants of the vehicle identified as, 58 year old Ronnie Meyer Sr, and 52 year old Laura Mode were taken into custody and booked at the Del Norte County Jail.
Laura Mode was arrested on charges including Bench warrant/failure to appear on misdemeanor charge, Driving while privileges revoked, Transport/etc controlled substance, Possession of a controlled substance for sale, Possession of a controlled substance, and Possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors.
Meyer Sr. was arrested on charges including Possession of a controlled substance with two or more priors, Transport/etc of a controlled substance, Possession of a controlled substance for sale, Possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and Possession of a narcotic controlled substance.
