The Western U.S. will be under the influence of broad high pressure, which will allow temperatures to gradually warm with limited to no precipitation. The Pacific Coast could see high temperatures around 10 degrees above average.
A nice weekend is on tap with near normal temperatures and dry conditions Saturday. Rain should return to the area late Sunday and continue to mid-week.
