Suspected BB Gun Bandit Arrested

Earlier in the week starting Tuesday March 26th, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety began investigating broken business windows and damage to parked vehicles. The incidents occurred beginning on Friday, March 22nd and extending through Saturday night. The suspects used BB guns to break large business windows and to damage parked cars.

On early Friday morning just after 5:00 am, a concerned citizen called the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety to report a suspicious vehicle parked which matched the description of the involved vehicle in several recent BB gun criminal mischief investigations.

31 year old Robert Correa

Responding Officers located a gray Honda Accord, no one was around or inside the vehicle at the time, and Detectives waited to see if any occupants would return. A couple hours later, two individuals were seen walking in the area, and one approached the involved vehicle, where he was contacted by Detectives. Further investigation led Detectives and Officers to another location, where numerous subjects were located.

The investigation revealed that the gray Honda Accord belonged to Robert Correa. Correa was identified as the suspect in the criminal mischief cases and was arrested and lodged on multiple counts. Five other individuals were arrested from 1474 Blake Ct on unrelated charges and warrants. All who were arrested from 1474 Blake Ct were transported to the Josephine County Jail and lodged. This case is still under investigation and further charges against Correa are anticipated.
