10,000 Marijuana Plants and 2500 Pounds of Processed Marijuana Seized at Massive Illegal Grow Site

On Thursday, August 11th, multiple agencies including the Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team, Rogue Area Drug Enforcement, and the Douglas County Interagency Narcotics Team executed a search warrant in Josephine County regarding an illegal marijuana grow site.

During the execution of the warrant, approximately 10,000 growing marijuana plants and approximately 2500 pounds of processed marijuana was seized and destroyed.

Multiple workers fled into a heavily wooded area and were not located. The primary suspect was also not located during the execution of the warrant. The charges listed above are the charges the primary suspect will be facing based on the evidence located.

The property was inspected by Josephine County Code Enforcement and multiple electrical, water and solid waste code violations were observed, which could result in the civil forfeiture of the property.

At the time of this press release the investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released.
