11.2 lbs. of Heroin and 2 lbs. of Fentanyl Seized

Just before 8:00pm, Saturday, July 25th, an Oregon State Trooper from the Klamath Falls Area Command stopped a 2016 Ford Escape SUV for speeding and failure to drive within lane traveling north bound on Highway 97.

During the traffic stop, the Trooper was granted consent to search the vehicle from both the driver and passenger. The consent search revealed approximately 11.2 pounds of heroin and 2 pounds of fentanyl concealed in the vehicle.

The driver was identified as 41 year old Santiago Romero-Juarez from Ventura, California and the passenger was identified as 27 year old Efrain Ruiz-Ordono from Ventura, California.

Mr. Romero-Juarez and Mr. Ruiz-Ordono were charged with Unlawful Possession and Delivery of Heroin and Unlawful Possession and Delivery of a Controlled Substance-Schedule II.
