Two Quakes Rattle Off the Coast Tuesday

Two earthquakes struck off the coast Tuesday, July 1st, one striking on the Blanco Fracture zone, and the other striking further to the south off the coast of Eureka.

The first struck approximately measuring 2.6 in magnitude, struck just before 9:50am Tuesday evening, approximately 100 miles southwest off the coast of of Eureka, California..

The second of the two temblors, approximately 130 miles west of Bandon Ore, just before 7:00pm Tuesday eveining, measuring 3.8 on the Richter Scale and 6 miles deep.

Neither of the two tremors developed a Tsunami, or Tsunami warnings.
