Man Arrested After Verbal Altercation Turns into Arrest for 30 grams of Meth

The Crescent City Police Department was dispatched to a verbal altercation near 3rd Street and L Street in Crescent City Thursday, July 24th.

Upon arrival of officers, three subjects were contacted while actively in a heated argument.

The first individual, identified as 53 year old Jethro Lloyd, was contacted among another male and female. Upon the conclusion of the officers  investigation, Lloyd was arrested for a stalking violation.

During a search incident to arrest of Lloyd, officers located almost 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine in a bank bag. Lloyd was also found to be in possession of suspected stolen access/debit cards, also located in the bank bag. 

Lloyd was transported and booked into the Del Norte County Jail for violations of possession of controlled substance for the purpose of sales,  transportation of a controlled substance for sales, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia.
