The upper level ridge of high pressure has established itself off the coast and after a cooler start to the work week, clear skies and hot temperatures are forecast to return with Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories from the National Weather Service across much of southern Oregon and northern California through the weekend and temperatures in the triple digits.

Inland areas are forecast to continue seeing clear skies and rising high temperatures under Extreme Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories through the weekend. Afternoon highs are expected to climb to mid to high triple digits into the weekend with little relief overnight with lows forecast in the upper 60’s.
Along coastal areas temperatures are forecast to continue warming under mostly clear skies into the weekend. A continued morning marine layer along the immediate coast and localized areas of morning fog under mostly sunny afternoon skies through weekend. Temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid 70’s for highs in some areas with morning lows in the mid to upper 50’s.
