On Saturday evening, October 25th, multiple agencies, including Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched just before 9:40pm, regarding reports of a stabbing at a White City mobile home park on Avenue G.
The suspect initially fled the scene of the homicide but was identified as the son of the victim as Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies and Mercy Flights medics attempted life-saving measures on the victim, however, the victim, identified as 72 year old Edward Dean Rowan of White City, was pronounced deceased around 10:12pm.

After an over 5 hour manhunt, the suspect, identified as 46 year old Jason Samuel Rowan, of White City, was located by a Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy walking on Avenue C near the intersection of 28th Street, and was initially uncooperative before being arrested by Sheriff’s deputies at approximately 2:26am without incident.
Rowan has been lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of second-degree murder.and no further information has been made available for release at this time.
