Suspect Remains At Large After Multi-County, Multi-Agency High Speed Chase

According to a Monday press release from Bandon Police Chief Cory Dhillon, Bandon Police officers assisted in a pursuit involving a suspect wanted out of Lane County and the state of Washington.

The pursuit, which started in Springfield, Monday morning, proceeded as a high speed pursuit into Coos County as multiple law enforcement agencies, including Coos County Sheriff’s deputies, Oregon State troopers and the Bandon Police Departmenrt pursued the vehicle.

The pursuit ended when the suspect, later identified as 33 year old Marcquis White, crashed North of Bandon and fled on foot.

According to last reports, multiple law enforcement agencies are currently canvassing the area in an active search for the suspect.

The suspect, 33 year old Marcquis White, is described as an African American male,  is possibly armed and was last seen wearing a blue Nike jumpsuit.

Authorities are advising individuals to consider the suspect armed and dangerous, to not approach the suspect report and to report any sightings or information immediately by calling 911.
