Just before noon, June 22nd, the Crescent City area California Highway Patrol reported that a traffic crash involving an overturned tanker truck occurred Monday on U.S. Hwy. 199.
U.S. Hwy.199 was fully closed west of Gasquet between the U.S. Forest Service Middle Fork Gorge River Access area and Hardscrabble Creek Bridge.
The tanker was reportedly transporting apple juice was first reported at approximately 10:30am, and no injuries were reported.
The roadway remained closed while emergency crews work to safely clear the scene before reopening to one-way controlled traffic at approximately 2:17pm.
