
According to a late Tuesday, June 23rd, press release from Curry County Sheriff’s Office, the search for the wanted individual from the Lucas Lodge incident has ended at approximately 12:35pm, Tuesday afternoon, June 23rd.
As reported earlier, multiple agencies including the Oregon State Police, their SWAT team and the U.S. Marshals, have been searching near Lucas Lodge in Agness, Oregon after the wanted individual, identified as Kenneth Leatherwood, had fled from law enforcement.
After Leatherwood, who was wanted out of Texas on a felony warrant for child sex crimes, fled from law enforcement, on Tuesday, June 16th, it was learned that he and the stolen vehicle he was operating was in the Agness area.
Early Tuesday afternoon, after a long week of searching, two Curry County Deputies assisted by one Oregon State Trooper and six U.S. Marshals, located the wanted fugitive camping in a heavily wooded area near Lucas Lodge in Agness, Oregon, and was taken into custody without incident.
