Another Significant Rain Event Forecast

A significant rain event is forecast to arrive Wednesday and continue through the weekend. Heavy rain will be possible across the area Thursday before a lull in the rain develops on Friday. Another period of heavy rain will be possible on Saturday as a cold front moves across the area.

According to the National Weather Service, a compact low pressure system is expected to spread rain into central and northern California Wednesday with snow over the higher elevations while a Pacific front is forecast to spread precipitation across the Pacific Northwest.

Large-scale Pacific fronts and cyclones continue to aim for the Pacific Northwest and an extended period of precipitation is anticipated for the region as we head toward the end of the week.
