AZ Lady Bruins Play Waldport

Coach Flowers and his Lady Azalea Bruin basketball team were at home Thursday night for their third game of the week.

The Waldport Lady Irish made the long trip down to Brookings to take on the AZ Lady Bruins. Both teams started out slow putting a total of 9 points in the first quarter.

Brynn Hodges #15 led all AZ Lady Bruins scorers while running the offense.

The AZ Lady Bruins showed their much-improved defense and coach Flowers implemented a new gameplan for #15 Brynn Hodges to run the offense through.

Shyla Roberlo #31 was key to the AZ Lady Bruin defense.

The Lady Irish were very athletic and ran away from the Lady AZ Bruins after the Lady Bruins closed the gap just before the half.

Again Brynn Hodges led the AZ Lady Bruins in scoring and Hailey Sroufe #25 had 4 points as the AZ Lady Bruins had 3 players in the scoring column.

“We had more hustle from everyone tonight” said coach Flowers, “and the defense did a much better job. Hailey Sroufe #25 continues to improve and 4 points tonight.”
