Planned work at Last Chance Grade CalTrans had warned travelers of earlier in the week, concluded Saturday after motorist experienced up to 2 hour delays. CalTrans had announced earlier in the week that crews would be continuing helicopter logging operations that began Friday, creating longer delays for public safety.
After work completed late Saturday afternoon, the highway has reopened to 30-minute delays. It has also been determined that further 2-hour delays have been deemed unnecessary for Monday or Tuesday this week, however, motorists should anticipate 30-minute delays on both days.
