As fall school sports programs begin to wind down, the second selection of the Barron’s Home Furnishings ‘Star Student Athlete’ of the 2021/2022 school year has been selected. Student athletes are selected by their coach’s for their outstanding efforts in the sports arena, as well as their exemplary scholastic and community participation.
This weeks selection is a three year member on the Brookings-Harbor High School varsity boys soccer team and has been selected for his consistent outstanding performances on the soccer field for head Coach Jess Beaman.
Senior Seth Broberg #11, who has been playing soccer since he was 5, currently plays left outside defender for head coach Jess Beaman’s BHHS varsity boys soccer team. Seth was nominated because “he has been key this year on defense.” coach Beaman said.
“As a left back, Broberg covers the back field well” coach Beaman said. “He denies offensive players fiercely, and with his speed he also has the ability to push the ball up the field with the offense, to a scoring position.”
While attending Brookings Harbor High School, Seth Broberg also works a part-time job afternoons at Bauer Auto Body while exploring vocational schools.
