The 9-0-1 4A-3 Far West League Champion Brookings-Harbor Varsity Boys will match up in their first playoff game Wednesday at their home field against the 6-3-1 4A-6 Skyline Conference North Valley Knights at 3:00 PM.
These two teams met earlier in a preseason game played on September 9th at Del Norte High School because of smoke issues from the Chetco Bar Fire at the time.
The game was a close contest which the Bruins at one point led 3-1, only to have the Knights score 3 straight goals forcing the Bruins to score twice in the final minutes giving the Bruins a win by a 5-4 score.
Bruins will be bringing a strong mature team of 8 seniors,
including 4A-3 Far West League MVP Sam Broberg #10,
and first team all-league Izaiha Bruce #4.
Wednesday afternoons contest is a single elimination playoff situation and is the biggest game of the Bruins season.
