Just after 4:00 am Sunday morning, August 26th, units from Illinois Valley Fire District, and Rural Metro responded to a vehicle fire near the intersection of Holland Loop and Robinson Corner Rd.
Fire crews arrived on the scene to a vehicle fire where no one was present and no license plates on the vehicle.

The vehicle was found in the middle of the lane of traffic which could have resulted in a vehicle accident. Leaving the vehicle in the middle of the lane of traffic did help prevent the spread of the fire into the wildland areas surrounding the roadway.
