Crescent City Police Department Officers and members of Crescent City Fire and Rescue, were dispatched to Northcrest Dr. Sunday evening at approximately 9:00pm, regarding a report of a dumpster that had been set on fire in the Parking lot of Pizza Hut.
Upon arrival Officers located several pieces of cardboard that were still on fire outside of the dumpster and also located 19 year old Gavin Hartje inside the dumpster.
Hartje admitted to setting items on fire inside the dumpster during an interview,and was arrested for Arson before being transported to the Del Norte County Jail to be booked.
