Forecast Changes Bring Clear Skies and Warmer Temperatures into Weekend

After the unsettled weather of the past week, the trough of low pressure responsible for the cool temperatures and precipitation, has slowly move out of the area. Behind the trough, high pressure builds, forcing weather to the north, and clearing skies across the region.

With the consistently clear skies now for a couple days, a warming trend returns to the forecast area as high pressure builds across northern California and southern Oregon. Interior temperatures are forecast to warm 5-10 degrees above normal Friday and over the weekend, with highs in the lower to mid 90’s.

Coastal highs will get as high as the low 70’s this weekend. Temperatures are expected to trend down slightly as a weak trough approaches beginning early next week, however, dry weather is expected to remain across the area.
