Four Cave Junction Men Arrested for Murder in Deadly Fire

On January 15th, 2019, the Oregon State Police, the Illinois Valley Fire District and American Medical Response responded to a structure fire at 150 East River St. in Cave Junction.

Upon arrival of the first Illinois Valley Fire unit, a single story wood frame house had flames showing on the front and side of the building.

Emergency personnel located 65 year old Donald Thomas deceased inside the structure.

The cause of the fire was placed under investigation by, the Oregon State Police fire investigator, the Oregon State Fire Marshal’s investigation team, and the Illinois Valley Fire District Fire Marshal.

As a result of the investigation, the following persons were arrested and lodged at the Josephine County Jail on Tuesday, November 26th.

24 year old Dakota Crow of Cave Junction
Felony Murder x2, Arson 1, Burglary 1
35 year old Kenny Webb of Cave Junction
Aggravated Murder x2, Arson 1, Burglary 1
37 year old Richard Webb of Cave Junction
Aggravated Murder x2, Arson 1, Burglary 1

Kenny and Richard Webb are brothers and all involved were believed to have been friends with the deceased.
