High Pressure Continues to Build Bringing Another Round of Hot Temperatures Across the Region

High pressure is forecast to strengthen and build across much of the region this weekend which is expected to lead to very hot temperatures for many areas inland from the coast.

Triple digits are expected for inland valleys west of the Cascades with upper 90’s to 100 expected except for the immediate coast. Inland areas are forecast to see clear sunny skies, with highs starting in the mid 90’s, increasing to over 100 to start next week and morning lows only getting to the mid 60’s.

Along the coast, early morning marine layer should burn off before noon, with high temperatures in the upper 60’s to end the work week, reaching the low 70’s by Sunday. Early morning lows will remain in the mid 50’s, with an afternoon northwest breeze possibly gusting from 15 to 20 mph in some areas.
