Inland Heat Continues as the Coast Stays Damp and Cool

Excessive heat will continue across much of the region as daytime highs soar well into the upper 90s and triple digits through the end of this week and worsening as the weekend progresses.

Hot temperatures are expected to peak Friday and Saturday and will continue to affect the area through at least Sunday. Excessive Heat Warnings remain in effect across Southern Oregon through Sunday for valleys in Josephine, Jackson, Klamath and Lake Counties. High temperatures are forecast to reach up to 104 degrees with lows dipping to the mid to low 60’s.

Out on the coast, as the stalled trough slowly moves to the east, the marine layer will strengthen bringing misty and wet fog like conditions in the late evening and early mornings to many areas near the Ocean. After the marine layer burns off, temperatures could reach the mid 70’s with lows in the mid 50’s.
