At approximately 5:15 pm Wednesday evening a multiple vehicle accident was reported just north of Crescent City at the intersection of Hwy 101 and Elk Valley Cross Road.
Initial reports from CHP were two vehicles, a blue Chevrolet Equinox and a silver Ford Focus with multiple major injuries, however, details on the cause of the accident and conditions of the occupants were not available at the time.
South Bound of Hwy. 101 was blocked and traffic was diverted to Elk Valley Cross Road for a very long period of time Wednesday evening as first responders attended to the individuals involved and cleared the scene.
