Measurable Rain to Start Weekend Forecast

The first seasonal rain of the season will arrive early Friday morning and continue into Friday as an upper-level low moves over the region. The chance of precipitation is near 90% with accumulation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible on Friday.

This will be the first wetting rain of the season for much of the area which means roads will be slick due to oil build up from cars over the summer and extra caution is encouraged for motorists if the roads are wet.

On the coast temperatures are forecasting lows in the mid 50’s with highs reaching the upper 60’s near 70 degrees in some areas. Inland high temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid 80’s with lows in the low 50’s.
