Meth, Ecstsacy, Steroids, and Roxycodone Seized in Bust

On Friday October 2nd, special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force and a detective from the Arcata Police Department worked together on an investigation regarding a male suspect who was using social media to advertise “Roxy” pills for sale according to a press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force.

“Roxy” is the street name for Roxycodone which is a form of Oxycodone. Through their investigation agents identified the suspect as 36 year old Dustin Lawler of Mckinleyville. Agents were familiar with Lawler as the Humboldt County Drug Task Force had served search warrants and arrested him for drug charges in August of 2019 and again in March of 2020.

Just before noon Friday, October 2nd, special agents from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force with the assistance of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant on Lawler’s residence in Mckinleyville and Lawler was detained without incident.

In Lawler’s bedroom agents located approximately 200 Roxycodone pills “Roxy”, 100 other misc. pills, 5 ounces of methamphetamine, steroids, 5 grams of “Molly” also known as Ecstasy, and a digital scale.

The Humboldt County Drug Task Force will be requesting the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office charge Lawler on multiple charges including Possession of methamphetamine for sale, Possession for sale of designated substances, Operating or maintaining a drug house.
