More of the Same Forecast into Weekend

Air quality Alerts have been issued by the National Weather Service due to fires in southwest Oregon through late Thursday, as the upper level ridge of high pressure responsible for the high temperatures in the West continues to keep most of southern Oregon very warm.

Inland valleys are forecast to see widespread haze under clear sunny skies and warm temperatures as the work week progresses. Temperatures will remain warm into the evening as afternoon highs could reach upper 90’s in some areas with morning lows in the upper 50’s to low 60’s.

Haze and smoke are expected to continue early in the week along the immediate coast from the Oak Flat Fire southwest of Agness. A morning marine layer will most likely develop, however, mostly clear sunny afternoon skies will dissipate the low cloud cover as afternoon high temperatures reach the low to mid 70’s in some locations.
