The City of Crescent City would like to thank K-9 Officer, Gene Votruba for his years of service to our community. On Friday, January 24th, Officer Gene Votruba and K-9 Django retired from service with the Crescent City Police Department.

We are very sad to see Officer Votruba and Django retire as both have been very dedicated to their department and Crescent City. Officer Votruba has served his country as a military veteran and has spent 12 years with the Crescent City Police Department.

Together Officer Votruba and K-9 Django have made over 55 drug related arrests. Django has located 55.5 grams of methamphetamine, 358.9 grams of marijuana, 5.9 grams of heroin and over 205 paraphernalia items.

We wish them the very best in their retirement and will definitely miss them not only in this community, but within the City family. Thank you Gene and Django for the dedication and love for this community.
