Pacific Pride Fuel Station Fire Leaves Destruction, Possible Enviromental Hazards, and Investigation

Beginning Wednesday morning, April 14th, Medford Fire Department reported that the fuel fire at the Pacific Pride Industrial Fuel Station located near the intersection of South Central and Boyd in South Medford, was out, and that fire crews were addressing hot spots.

 

The fast moving fuel-fire damaged several business buildings of which some were destroyed. Road closures continued Wednesday due to the complexity of the fire which caused safety and environmental risks.

Carson (Pacific Pride), a fuel station and the location of this fire, has contracted with First Strike Environmental to do an initial assessment of the scene and will lead the clean-up of hazardous materials.

Medford Police Department is leading the investigation into the cause of the fire in coordination with Medford Police Department, and is asking anyone who may have seen something in the area of the fire to contact them at 541-770-4783. .
