Record Breaking Success for Festival of Lights

This year’s presentation of the Festival of Lights has been a record-breaking success. With a number of new exhibits and special guest appearances, from opening night when organizers announced “opening night at Nature’s Coastal Holiday was an all-time one-night record with over 2600 attending!”, the record attendance was the result. Organizers offer many thanks to all who attended and appreciated their hard work.

Now that the lights have dimmed until next year, the large decorations will be tucked away this week. With that, the daunting task of collecting up, taking down and packing away a half million lights needs to be done. As in previous years, Festival of Lights organizers will need assistance to remove them. On this Saturday, January 6th at 9 am, volunteers will assemble in the Kids Town parking lot with tubs in hand.

If you can, organizers ask that you please spare a few hours to join in and help their very small band of volunteers that have already worked so hard over the last 2 months. Bring your friends, church group, business associates, and family. If just 80 people show up, volunteers can have the entire park cleared in just 3 hours.

Again, Thank You to all in our communities who came and enjoyed the Festival of Lights this season.
