Student Arrested after Threat to School

On Thursday, September 6, the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety received a report from several students at the Grants Pass High School regarding another attending student who commented that he was going to shoot other students.

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety School Resource Officer identified the juvenile suspect student and along with the assistance of detectives, contacted him at his residence. After the investigation was completed, the juvenile was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct in the First Degree.

The Grants Pass Department of Public Safety would like to make certain that the public is aware that ALL threats of harm to students and to our schools are taken seriously and will be fully investigated.

If, at the conclusion of the investigation, probable cause exists to arrest, anyone involved will be arrested and charged appropriately.
