Traffic Stop Yields Mobile Meth Lab in Trunk

On Monday evening, April 23, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle suspected to be a stolen. The vehicle stopped in a driveway in a location not associated with the vehicle or its occupants.Klamath 911 confirmed the vehicle was listed as stolen from an earlier Klamath Fall City Police case.

After a preliminary search yielded drug paraphernalia, further investigation revealed that inside of the trunk of the vehicle were items recognized as being used for manufacturing methamphetamine.

The Basin Inter-agency Narcotics Enforcement Team responded and confirmed the items were a small mobile methamphetamine lab.

Two occupants, Pauline Carnagey and Jonathan Tune were taken into custody.

Oregon State Police Haz-Mat responded from Salem for further investigation and disposal of the contents.
