Two Cave Junction Men Arrested after 27,696 Marijuana Plants and 27 Firearms Seized in Raid

30 year old Zacharea Jafarzadeh

Homeland Security Investigations and Josephine County Code Enforcement, served a search warrant Tuesday, July 13th, relating to illegal marijuana grow operations at three Josephine County locations between Cave Junction and Selma.

During the execution of the search warrant, 27,696 illegal marijuana plants were seized and destroyed. Additionally, 27 firearms, multiple water pumps and generators were seized as evidence. $255,611 in cash was also seized.

32 year old Woodrow Benear

30 year old Zacharea Jafarzadeh, and 32 year old Woodrow Benear, both of Cave Junction, were arrested and lodged in the Josephine County Jail for possession, manufacture, and unlawful delivery of marijuana. 11 additional subjects were detained due to safety concerns. .
